- Info: You can start the course at any time, but we suggest starting no later than the third week. If you’re unable to make all 5 dates, get in touch. You will only have to pay for the classes that you attend, not the full course price if you let us know in advance of booking the course.

We are running a five week Beginner Commercial Street Dance course here at our dance studios in Sheffield.
This is a five week beginner course covering some essentials of commercial street technique. It’s suitable for anyone who’s always wanted to try streetdance and wants to know more, and for those who already know the style but want to refresh their technique. The course will allow students the time to focus on mastering the technique, with suitable guidance and support.
At the end of the course you’ll be able to perform a short piece of choreography using the techniques and skills that you’ll have learnt.
Alongside learning HipHop dance technique suitable for beginners, you will also have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Taking a dance class will also improve your fitness, conditioning, flexibility, strength, balance, posture, memory, co-ordination, mental wellbeing and more..!
The course will be taught by one of Hype Dance’s experienced professionals, Reo Kennedy, with her fun and engaging approach. We guarantee you will enjoy the sessions, and definitely learn something new!
The course costs £27.50 (just £5.50 per class) and must be booked and paid for in advance and is suitable for ages 16 upwards, of any experience.
You do not need any previous dance experience to take part in this beginner commercial street dance course.
Other Commercial Streetdance classes
We also run an open level commercial street dance class. This drop-in classes is on Thursdays at 19:05, and costs £6.50 / £5.53 NUS.
These classes must be booked in advance and can be booked online.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your message. No, you are definitely not too old to be joining this, or any of our other classes! There are plenty in class in their 30’s, and older too.
We’ll hopefully see you in the first class tomorrow..!
