Sheffield Children’s University (CU) was established in 2008 and now has over 44,000 members who have collectively taken part in around 3 million hours of high quality learning outside of normal school hours! We work with over 70 schools from across the city of Sheffield and over 200 Learning Destinations (approved activity providers). Sheffield CU is part of Sheffield City Council.
We know taking part in CU makes a difference in Sheffield – each year our data tells us that children/young people who participate make more progress in their learning at school, and are much more likely to do better than they were expected to in their SATs and GCSEs. We also know it’s great for growing confidence, motivation, self-esteem, and the most important thing about participating in CU? HAVING FUN!
Any child or young person attending a Sheffield school can join Sheffield CU…
