Below you’ll find answers to many of the questions we often get asked. If you still have questions after reading these, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, where one of our team will be happy to help you.
Each drop-in class is a self contained class, meaning you can join in at any time. Please make sure to book and pay in advance though – if the class is full and you haven’t booked, you may be unable to take part in the class. You can book an adult drop-in class here, and a junior drop-in class here.
Classes marked as performance or choreography classes are advanced level classes that require regular attendance – please get in touch with us before attending.
Please get in touch with us if you would like your child to join any our IDTA syllabus led classes. This is so that we can make sure we suggest the most appropriate class(es) and can discuss any specific details with you.

Our drop-in classes are one off, self contained classes, so you can book just one class and give it a try.
Our beginner courses run over 5 weeks and you must book onto the block of classes. If you are unable to make 1 or 2 dates but still wish to join the course, get in touch with us.
Our syllabus based IDTA classes are payable termly, although we do offer new starters 3 weeks pay as you go so that you can make sure the class is suitable, before committing to a full term.
For our adult drop-in classes, beginner classes are suitable for complete beginners, improver classes are for those with a grasp of the basics, intermediate and advanced classes are for those with at least 2 / 3 years experience in the style.
Our junior drop-in classes are open level and suitable for all abilities, unless otherwise stated.
We don’t have a dress code for our adult classes so you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
For ballet classes, most people wear leggings or shorts and a vest top or tee, and for your feet, ballet shoes or barefoot will be fine.
For commercial / street/ hiphop, most people wear leggings / joggers or shorts and a vest top or tee, and for your feet, trainers will be fine.
For contemporary dance, most people wear leggings / joggers or shorts and a vest top or tee. For your feet, barefoot will be fine.
For modern jazz, most people wear leggings / joggers or shorts and a vest top or tee, and for your feet, jazz shoes or barefoot will be fine.
For tap dance, most people wear leggings / joggers or shorts and a vest top or tee. If you don’t have tap shoes, please wear hard soled shoes that you can dance in, NOT trainers!
There is a set uniform for the IDTA syllabus led classes that children must wear when taking exams and is dependant on what grade they are entered into. We will discuss this with you before your child starts classes with us.
We suggest bringing a water bottle along to class – you can refill it here too.
Participants ages cover a wide range, from 18 to people in their 50’s & 60’s, and everyone else in between!

When you arrive press the buzzer (to the left of the black doors) and let us know what you are here for. Push the door when you hear the buzzing sound, then head inside and up to the waiting area, which is on the left at the top on the stairs.
If you need to change clothes, please use the designated changing space (just through the waiting area). Please bring CLEAN footwear for the studio, especially during autumn / winter when it is often muddy outside.
Once you are ready, take a seat in the waiting area until your dance tutor comes to get you for your class. Please take your belongings with you into the studio, where there are hooks to hang bags and coats on.
Yes, you can amend your class booking up to 2 hours in advance of by heading to our customer portal. If you haven’t used the portal before, simply click on the “forgot password” link, enter the email address you used to book your class, and follow the instructions.
Dance studio bookings can be amended up to 24 hours in advance.
We don’t offer refunds on dance classes / studio bookings (other than in exceptional circumstances), as you’ll already have seen on our terms and conditions! We’re happy for you to reschedule your booking as outlined above though.
You can book one of our three dance studios online, for personal use, from as little as 30 minutes, up to a whole day. If you would like a longer hire, you don’t see the days / times you’d like available, or would like to hire for commercial use (eg. running your own classes) then please get in touch with us.
