Benoit’s training began at the highest level in France, studying at the legendary Paris Opera Ballet School and the Paris Conservatoire.

From there, his talent took him worldwide. He danced professionally in Canada for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal and in Switzerland for Ballett Basel, performing iconic classical ballets like Giselleand The Nutcracker, alongside contemporary masterpieces by William Forsythe, Jiri Killian, and Nacho Duato.

As an educator, Benoit holds the prestigious French classical ballet qualification (Diplôme d’Etat) and a TQFE from the University of Aberdeen. He has spent years shaping the next generation of dancers in the UK, working with The Royal Ballet School’s Associates, Dance Base Edinburgh, and the national Centre for Advanced Training (C.A.T.) scheme.

When the absolute best companies tour the UK, Benoit is who they call. He was recently appointed to teach professional company classes for Ballet Rambert (for the Peaky Blinders tour), Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures (Swan Lake tour), and Scottish Ballet.
