Accessibility statement

Last updated 26th October 2026.

Our approach

We want everyone to be able to find a class, book and get in touch with Hype Dance Company, whatever device you use and however you use it. This statement covers hypedance.org.uk.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We check the site ourselves as we build it; it hasn’t been independently audited.

Using this website

You should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 200% without text spilling off the screen

  • move around the whole site using only a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are

  • use a screen reader, with descriptions on our photos and links that tell you when they open a new tab

  • read our timetables as text, not images or PDFs

  • use light or dark mode: the site follows your device’s setting, and every text colour meets AA contrast in both

  • turn off animations: the site follows your device’s reduced motion setting

Known issues

Some parts of the site come from other companies, so we can’t fully control how accessible they are:

  • Booking forms and the customer portal are provided by Amelia, and card payments by Stripe. We’ve styled them to match the site, but some parts may not work well with a keyboard or screen reader.

  • The map on our contact page and our Google reviews are provided by Google.

If anything stops you booking or getting in touch, email hello@hypedance.org.uk or call +44 7356 270953 and we’ll help you book.

Some photos in our older news posts may have short or missing descriptions. We’re adding them as we go.

Our studios

Our studios are on the first floor, up one flight of stairs, and unfortunately there’s no lift. If you have any access needs, please get in touch before your visit and we’ll do our best to help. Directions are on our contact page.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this website doesn’t work for you, or you need information in a different format, email hello@hypedance.org.uk or call +44 7356 270953. Please tell us the page address and what went wrong, and we’ll do our best to put it right.
