Paulina Chochulska, Creative Director
Paulina is Hype’s Creative Director, overseeing all our teaching, a role she took over from our founder, Anna Olejnicki.
She leads our adult ballet and jazz classes and our junior ballet, modern jazz and competition classes. She specialises in ballet, contemporary and jazz, and draws on all three to create her own distinctive choreography.
Dance has always been my passion and the way I express myself. Sharing that passion in the studio, and watching people find their confidence, creativity and their own way of expressing themselves through dance, is absolutely priceless.

Paulina started dancing at 3 in her local kindergarten dance group and soon moved on to ballroom classes. At 10, she joined one of Poland’s five comprehensive ballet schools, where she spent 9 years studying ballet, contemporary, folk dance and dance history, graduating with a Professional Dancer Diploma.
While still at ballet school, she joined Cube Dance Academy, starting as a dancer and progressing to teacher and choreographer. She created solo and group routines for IDO competitions and choreographed for commercial events, and competed in IDO championships at home and abroad, winning a silver medal at the IDO World Championships in Riesa, Germany.
Since moving to the UK in 2014, Paulina has performed across the country with Manchester vogue group House of Decay and appeared in music videos for several South Yorkshire musicians. She holds the IDTA Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching in both ballet and modern jazz, passed with distinction, and is now training in Acrobatic Arts and Rambert Grades for contemporary dance. She still takes classes and workshops regularly to keep developing as a dancer and teacher.
