We are running a 5 week Beginner Modern Jazz Dance course here at our dance studios in Sheffield.
This is a beginner class covering some essentials of modern jazz dance technique. It’s suitable for complete beginners to the style, anyone who’s always wanted to try modern jazz dance and wants to know more, and for those who already know the style but want to refresh their technique. The class will allow students the time to focus on mastering the technique, with suitable guidance and support.
At the end of the course you’ll be able to perform a short piece of choreography using the techniques and skills that you’ll have learnt.
Alongside learning jazz dance technique suitable for beginners, you will also have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Taking a dance class will also improve your fitness, conditioning, flexibility, strength, balance, posture, memory, co-ordination, mental wellbeing and more..!
The course will be taught by Paulina Chochulska, with her fun and engaging approach. We guarantee you will enjoy the sessions, and definitely learn something new!
The course costs £32.50 per class and must be booked and paid for in advance and is suitable for ages 17-60+, of any experience.
You do not need any previous dance experience to take part in this beginner modern jazz dance course.
Other Modern Jazz dance classes
We also run an intermediate / advanced level drop-in modern jazz dance class. This drop-in class is on Wednesdays at 18:00 – 19:00, and cost £7.50 / £6.50 NUS.
The class must be booked in advance and can be booked online.
