Alex Warren, Company Director
Alex looks after the day-to-day running of Hype Dance: the finances, the website, and the funding applications that help keep our outreach and productions going. He brings over 15 years of business management experience, along with plenty of experience in the dance world.
Alex also writes funding applications for small arts organisations and individuals, and has secured over £150,000 in funding for Hype and other clients.

His background is in design and technology. He studied mechanical and software engineering at university and has worked as a freelance graphic designer ever since, creating websites, brochures, posters and digital marketing campaigns, as well as editing video and audio. So if there’s ever a technical problem at the studio, he’s the one who fixes it!
Alex used to take part in hip hop and b-boying classes and performances with Hype, before hanging up his sneakers for a behind-the-scenes role. Having recently taken over the running of Hype, he’s looking forward to growing what the company offers and reaching even more people.
