Who are these workshops aimed at?

The workshops are suitable for a range of participants but are specifically targetted towards those with neurological disorders such as dementia, Parkinsons, Alzheimers and those with limited mobility.

What are these workshops?

The sessions use a variety of techniques to engage the participants from period music to stimulate memory to props (such as beach balls, hats, ribbon and scarves) to encourage movement and group participation.

What is the benefit of these workshops?

Participants co-ordination, range of movement, balance, memory and more can be improved by participating in these sessions.

Who are the lead artists?

The sessions will be lead by one of our professional dancers who have been trained to work specifically in this field. They have received training by specialists from Derby University (Elizabeth Foster) & Derby Royal Hospital (Andrea Haley) and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience.
