Lucy Haighton

Lucy Haighton - Junior & Teen Contemporary

Lucy trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in Dundee graduating in 2012 and is a dance artist, physical performer and choreographer based in Sheffield. She creates live performance work as a solo artist and also works collaboratively with others both in dance and other art forms including theatre, sound design and film.

Lucy works closely within the artistic community in Sheffield and South Yorkshire and has been supported by a number of organisations including Theatre Delicatessen & Access Space in Sheffield, Yorkshire Dance in Leeds, CAST in Doncaster, The Barnsley Civic & both Sheffield Universities. She has a strong community practice working across a range of areas engaging with people of every age.

As a performer Lucy has worked with a number of independent artists & companies including Gary Clarke, Lisa May Thomas, Gerry Turvey, Sonia Sabri (Manasamitra), Balbir Singh Dance Company, Spiltmilk Dance, Forest Sounds Theatre and The Dance Network Sheffield. Lucy has performed across the country in national tours and at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
