Led by Andrea Haley, this is a one day training course on facilitating dance with older people including those with limited mobility and / or dementia. The training will include how to structure a dance session, models of delivery and take away dance tasks to add to your repertoire.
We have a host of new dance classes on this Autumn. Teen Contemporary, Adult Beginner Contemporary, Adult Beginner Tap, Dance Fit to Classic 90's tunes, Parent and Toddler sessions, Bellydance, Mash It Up Fitness and Capoeira have all been added to our growing and diverse timetable.
We are looking for a qualified Hip Hop dance tutor to work at our busy dance studios on the edge of Sheffield City centre. Initially leading a regular weekly class for 5 - 10 year olds there is the potential for outreach work, after school sessions and other dance workshops along with choreography for various shows and events throughout the year.
Held on Sunday 18th November from 10:30 - 16:30 and lead by Andrea Hayley, this workshop will give you all the tools and confidence needed to engage and interact with people with dementia whether you are a deliverer of dance, a carer, family member or support worker.
An engaging collaboration of dance, music and visual art inspired by the effects of cancer on the body and Surrealism. Produced by Hype Dance Company and influenced by stories from cancer patients the show explores how this affects body manipulation and distortion. Juxtaposed are moments of sheer fun and absurdity, fully involving the audience creating an immersive theatrical experience to take you on a surreal, emotional journey.
