Anna is a Fellow of the International Dance Teachers Association, a Registered teacher with Royal Academy of Dance, Member Equity UK and a CDET registered teacher.
Anna began her dance career training at a local dance school in Doncaster, and began her professional career working as a commercial dancer/choreographer for fashion shows, and a dance tutor across the UK before founding Hype Dance Company, a dance education company in Sheffield in 2004. She is one of the North’s leading female choreographer’s for professional dance theatre work that has toured the UK.
Experienced at teaching Anna has worked with many professional dance companies delivering educational work including Robert Hylton Urban Classicism (UK), Decadance Theater (USA), Renegade Dance Theatre (Germany), and continues to teach for The Royal Ballet School (UK) on their PRIMARYSTEPS programme. She is a practical teaching assessor on the CBTS course for the Royal Academy of Dance.
She teaches regularly within Hype Dance Company’s Academy, and across the country working with children, young people and adults. Her teaching work ranges from creative dance work, syllabus study and curriculum enhancement to teacher training and mentoring. Anna also undertakes festival adjudicating to championship level, and choreography for professional companies.
